“Surgutneftegas” PJSC has previously repeatedly reported persistent attempts of using its corporate name and business reputation to perform fraudulent actions by third parties.
Please be informed that fraudulent schemes may also include fake instant messaging accounts under the names of “Surgutneftegas” PJSC employees, including using photographs of “Surgutneftegas” PJSC top managers in the account (in order to improve credibility), as well as deepfake voice technology (digital voice cloning). We note that the use of an image of a citizen (including photographs) is permitted only with his/her consent (Article 152.1 of the Civil Code of the Russian Federation).
“Surgutneftegas” PJSC employees do not use social networks and public instant messaging applications (Telegram, WhatsApp, Viber, etc.) for business purposes.
“Surgutneftegas” PJSC recommends that you be suspicious of any messages on instant messaging applications and social networks coming from allegedly “Surgutneftegas” PJSC employees and double-check interlocutors using alternative sources of information.
