Human resources development strategy is based on the principle that personnel is the most valuable asset of the Company. That’s why the Company’s HRD policy is focused on developing employees’ skills, realizing their full potential and creating personal interest to achieve the Company’s goals.

The Company’s Human Resources annual program includes recruitment of qualified employees, staff training and skills enhancement, support and encouragement of young professionals, improvement of moral and material incentives system, and stimulation of R&D activities.

The Company directly recruits the personnel from the external labor market of Surgut, Surgutsky District and other regions of Russia.

The supply of required specialists is in many ways ensured by a special training program based on selection of the potential trainees, arrangement of all types of training and recruitment of the graduates.

Every third employee of the Company completes a skills development course annually. Surgutneftegas supports all education options including distance learning, traineeships, workshops, and Master of Business Administration (MBA) courses. The knowledge gained helps employees develop their career, as well as unlock their creative potential.

Today, 41.7% of the Company’s employees have college or university degrees and 116 employees have attained science degrees.

As part of human resources policy, Surgutneftegas actively interacts with youth and young specialists. The Company fosters an efficient adaptation of young newcomers to their workplaces, involves young hopefuls into research and development projects, enhances their level of expertise, and helps boost carrier of the promising youth.
