IN 2006, SURGUTNEFTEGAS COMMISSIONS 3BCM GAS PROCESSING PLANT

In 2006, OJSC “Surgutneftegas” is to commission a “Gas Processing Plant Equipped with Turbine Expander No. 3” which will help boost the production capacity of its gas processing facilities to 7.2 bcm per annum from a design capacity of 4.2 bcm per annum. The plant will process compressed gas extracted from the Lyantor oil field.

The plant commission will let the company’s gas processing division additionally produce 200,000 tons of liquid hydrocarbons.

To streamline the marketing of products of gas processing, the company plans to commission a liquid hydrocarbons service rack with a capacity of
500,000 tons per annum.

As for the commission dates for the facilities currently under construction, Alexei Vasiliev, the head of gas processing division, said:
- The gas processing plant equipped with turbine expander No. 3 and the liquid hydrocarbons service rack are to be commissioned in the second quarter of 2006 and in the forth quarter of the same year accordingly.

Seeking to increase the capacity of its gas processing division’s tank farm, the company plans to construct 24 oil tanks.
