SURGUTNEFTEGAS DEVELOPS ITS INNOVATION POTENTIAL
Surgutneftegas continues to develop its innovation potential which we believe is a key factor in improving our performance.
In 2005, we implemented 2,298 innovation proposals developed by 2,865 employees, which allowed us to save as much as RUR 540 mn.
Research and development projects carried out by SurgutNIPIneft, the Company’s R&D Institute, and long-term programs translated into savings of almost RUR 6.5 bn.
The Company was granted 37 patents and certificates, including 3 patents for inventions, 4 patents for utility models, 26 certificates for software registration, and 4 certificates for databases registration.
In 1998 – 2005, the Company obtained a total of 177 documents of title to results of intellectual activity.
