In 2011, Surgutneftegas produced 60,780,500 tons of oil (up 2% from 2010), where new producing areas – Talakanskoye and Alinskoye fields in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) – increased their output by 62% to 5,384,900 tons of oil per year.
On 16 December 2011 Surgutneftegas launched the third oilfield in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) – the Severo-Talakanskoye field.
The most important company development direction is exploration of a new East-Siberian oil-and-gas province, OJSC “Surgutneftegas” bases its work in the region through a complex approach to the solving of industrial and social problems.
