“Surgutneftegas” is one of the Russian oil majors involved in oil and gas production and exploration, gas processing, power generation, output and marketing of petroleum products, petrochemicals and gas products
During the ten months of 2004, oil production in OJSC “Surgutneftegas” rose 10% to reach 49,120.6 thousand tons, compared to 44,627.5 thousand tons from the year-ago period.
In 2011, Surgutneftegas produced 60,780,500 tons of oil (up 2% from 2010), where new producing areas – Talakanskoye and Alinskoye fields in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) – increased their output by 62% to 5,384,900 tons of oil per year.
The most important company development direction is exploration of a new East-Siberian oil-and-gas province, OJSC “Surgutneftegas” bases its work in the region through a complex approach to the solving of industrial and social problems.
