OJSC “SURGUTNEFTEGAS” RECEIVED TEN PRIZES AT THE OKRUG CONFERENCE FOR YOUNG PROFESSIONALS

OJSC “Surgutneftegas” took part in IV Conference for Young Professionals of Oil Production and Geological Exploration in the Khanty-Mansiysky Autonomous Okrug, which took place on October 21-23 in the city of Kogalym, at “KogalymNIPIneft” R & D Institute. The delegation from the Company consisted of 27 young experts, including 3 representatives of “PA “Kirishinefteorgsintez” Ltd. and 8 experts from “SurgutNIPIneft”.

DRILLING PROGRAM OF OJSC “SURGUTNEFTEGAS” IS ENDANGERED

The threat of ceasing in 2004 development drilling at 20 sites and exploration drilling at 17 sites comprising altogether 175 prospect and development wells has begun to loom very large in Company’s mind.

During the first nine months of the current year, oil production of OJSC “Surgutneftegas” reached 39,907 thousand tons compared to 36,287 thousand tons produced in the first nine months of 2002, a 10% increase.
